[HEALDSBURG, CA] – True West Film Center today announced the schedule of films and events that will mark the opening of True West Cinemas. First run movies including Academy Award-winner Kathryn Bigelow’s A House of Dynamite, Luca Guadagnino’s After the Hunt, and Scarlett Johansson’s directorial debut Eleanor the Great. Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein and Pixar’s Coco will mark the Cinema’s Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, October 25. With a nod to the region’s film history, the Cinema will launch its repertory program with two films made in Sonoma County – Alfred Hitchcock’s The Birds (1963) and Wes Craven’s Scream (1996). In addition to its robust film programming, True West will infuse the filmgoing experience with the flavors of Sonoma County through a bespoke food and wine program exclusively featuring local purveyors. Tickets and the full schedule are available at truewestfilmcenter.org.

The cinemas are the centerpiece of True West Film Center’s 8,000 square-foot James Redford Campus located in downtown Healdsburg. In addition to the cinemas, the Campus includes spaces for educational and community programs and administrative offices. With the new facilities, True West projects it will serve 45,000 people per year starting in 2026, expanding its current audience by nearly 10 times. Within one year of opening, the Campus is projected to generate $2 million in new economic activity for Sonoma County. The project is funded by the multi-year, $5.6 million Campaign to Open True West, which has generated $4.86 million to date and will run through December, 2026.
