Music Production + Filmmakers Camp

About

True West Summer Film Camps offer a range of filmmaking experiences for students ages 7-14 years old. Led by teaching artists Heather Murray, Jesus Salazar Montero, Sandro Oliva, and Pamela Kennemore, our summer camps reflect our commitment to providing media arts education to students throughout Sonoma County.

Morning sessions immerse campers in the music making process, walking them through the creating, recording, and mixing of their own tracks using a digital audio workstation. Exploring the fundamentals of beat-making, sound design, and digital recording, campers will produce several beats of their own to share with friends and family. No prior experience required!

Each afternoon, the focus turns to short filmmaking, with campers exploring creative ways to bring their stories to life. Working in several different areas of the filmmaking process, campers learn essential skills about media, team work, and communication as they craft their own short movies.

Music Production + Filmmakers Camp is offered in partnership with ConnectED.
