True West Visionary Camp Scholarship

The True West Visionary Summer Camp Scholarship is an incredible opportunity for a returning camper to attend 5-7 summer camps in 2026 for free! If you know an aspiring filmmaker who has attended at least three of our film programs (summer camps or after-school programs) and meets the qualifications listed below, apply by February 1, 2026. As a result of the incredible generosity of the Healdsburg Rotary Club, we are excited to be able to support one camper for the entire summer!

To qualify, the camper must:

Be between the ages of 7-12 years old.
Have attended at least three of our youth programs for filmmakers ages 7-12 years old during the past two years.
Have completed at least two films in our youth programs for filmmakers ages 7-12 years old during the past two years.
Have shown a unique passion for filmmaking.
Have demonstrated kindness in collaborative situations and a willingness to take on a variety of crew roles.
Be available to attend at least 5 of our 7 summer camps in 2026.
Be available to attend a Rotary meeting in late summer or early fall to make a presentation talking about their experience at summer camp and showing their films to Rotary members.

The application process:

Fill out the online application form, including the essay portions by February 1, 2026.
Finalists will be contacted on February 10, 2026 to arrange a phone interview with the camper and our Director of Education, Heather Murray.
All finalists will be contacted on February 20, 2026 to notify them of the results.
