About

Synopsis: In a tiny Peruvian seaside village, where traditions run deep, Miguel, a young fisherman, and his beautiful bride Mariela are about to welcome their first child. But Miguel harbors a scandalous secret. He’s in love with Santiago, a painter who is ostracized by the town because he’s gay. This lauded film won the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival in 2010.

Love Note: Forbidden love cannot remain a secret for long. Everything you desire needs to come out and be witnessed. When we try to control love, it never works. Love grows in spite of our best intentions.
